Protein Data Bank (PDB)
The Protein Data Bank (PDB) is a database of 3D structural data and metadata for biological macromolecules (proteins, DNA, RNA, glycans, etc.), containing structures determined by recognized experimental methods such as X-ray crystallography, NMR (nuclear magnetic resonance), cryo-electron microscopy and X-ray neutron hybridization. The number of structures listed is approximately 215,000 (as of February 2023). When a structural biologist identifies a new protein structure, registration with the PDB is mandatory in order to submit a paper. Users can search the site for the structural data they need and download it in PDB format.
